I've got an apollo 1240/25 (32Mb) and I've got the
same problem. Corroded battery/clip and a non working
battery. Didn't fancy attempting to unsolder (is that
a word?) the battery in case I damaged the board.
Least of my problems ATM anyway.
Not much help to you but at least you know your NOT
unique with the problem.
